8am FREEDOM 5-K RACE

9am - 3pm YOUTH SOCCER & LITTLE LEAGUE
All tournaments take place in Yowell Meadow Park. Organized by Tim Kearney of RE/MAX Crossroads and Mark Settle.

10am-3pm CULPEPER RENAISSANCE
4th OF JULY CAR and BIKE SHOW

A full day show at The Depot and Davis Street in Downtown Culpeper. Judging begins at 10am, awards are presented at 2.30pm. The show is open and free to all.

Noon PATRIOTIC PROGRAM:  READING OF THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE
The Sons of the American Revolution (SAR), Culpeper Minute Men Chapter, will present a program that includes the reading of the Declaration of Independence on the courthouse lawn. The Blue Ridge Chorale will sing patriotic songs and a fife and drum corps will be on hand.
Noon to 4 pm

STATE THEATRE OPEN HOUSE

Get a sneak peek at the future of the State Theatre, a Culpeper landmark.  Learn about the history of the theatre and the work being done to restore it to its former glory.

4 pm INDEPENDENCE DAY - MAIN STREET PARADE
This hometown parade is open to anyone who wants to participate. The typical hometown Main Street parade was once the center of most annual community events and local gatherings. Culpeper's 4th of July Celebration brings that memory back to life. Continue the tradition and be a part of the 14th Annual Main Street Parade. 4:30 pm

CULPEPER OLYMPICS

Bring your competitive spirit and sense of fun to Yowell Meadow Park for The Culpeper Olympics, sponsored by the Culpeper Star-Exponent. This old-fashioned field day event features categories for youth and adults and is family fun for people of all ages. Be an Olympic champion in the Sack Race, Egg Toss, Frisbee Throw, 3-Legged Race, Hula Hoop, or Water Balloon Toss.  Make a dash for cash in the Peanut Drop, as you find the colored peanut that is worth cash when 50 pounds of Virginia peanuts are dropped on the fields at the park. Win big eating Watermelon – hands free. Find your calling as a newspaper carrier in the Newspaper Throw. You can even try to catch a Greased Pig! Aside from fame and bragging rights, awards will be given to the winners of each event!

4:30 pm DINNER AND MUSIC IN THE PARK
Yowell Meadow Park is the place to be as of 4:30 pm for food, music and entertainment. You can also spend some time visiting the art & craft vendors in the parking lot area. Join the "After 5 Band" for music at 5:15 pm.
9:15 pm FIREWORKS
The Grand Finale of a fun-filled day can only be FIREWORKS! Sponsored by the Town of Culpeper and the County of Culpeper.
For safety reasons, dogs will not be allowed in the park during all 4th of July events.
