SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
THURSDAY

July 4, 2013!

8am FREEDOM 5-K RACE - Sponsored by the Culpeper Festival Committee!
This year's race will begin at the Town Municipal Building, 400 S. Main St. and wind through the west side of Town, loopYowell Meadow Park and return to the Town Municipal Building to finish.  Go to the 5K race page for more info!
9am - 3pm YOUTH SOCCER & LITTLE LEAGUE
All tournaments take place in Yowell Meadow Park. Organized by Tim Kearney of RE/MAX Crossroads and Mark Settle.  Go to the youth sports page for more information!

10am - 11am

INDOGPENDENCE DAY WALK

For the second year, there will be a Dog Walk, sponsored by the Culpeper Run Club.  This dog walk will take begin and end at the Mulberry Court Parking Lot (south side of Town to the rear of the CVS Pharmacy).  Click here for a flyer about the event. 

10am  - 3pm

CULPEPER RENAISSANCE
4th OF JULY CAR and BIKE SHOW

A full day show at The Depot and Davis Street in Downtown Culpeper. Judging begins at 10am, awards are presented at 2.30pm. The show is open and free to all.

Noon PATRIOTIC PROGRAM:  READING OF THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE
The Sons of the American Revolution (SAR), Culpeper Minute Men Chapter, will present a program that includes the reading of the Declaration of Independence on the courthouse lawn and a fife and drum corps will be on hand. The Blue Ridge Chorale will astound us with patriotic songs!
4 pm INDEPENDENCE DAY - MAIN STREET PARADE
This hometown parade is open to anyone who wants to participate. The typical hometown Main Street parade was once the center of most annual community events and local gatherings. Culpeper's 4th of July Celebration brings that memory back to life. Continue the tradition and be a part of the Annual Main Street Parade. Go to the parade page for registration info!
5:30 pm DINNER, HAYRIDES, AND ENTERTAINMENT
Yowell Meadow Park is the place to for food, music and entertainment. Enjoy all kinds of delicious food and treats, then spend some time visiting the art & craft vendors in the parking lot area. Take a hayride pulled by antique John Deere tractors (provided by Art Fellows and his family). Throw a blanket down, or pull up a chair, and come listen to "Cashless Society" playing music from 5:30 to 8:30 pm.
5:30 pm

CULPEPER OLYMPICS

Bring your competitive spirit and sense of fun to Yowell Meadow Park for the annual Culpeper Olympics! This old-fashioned field day event features categories for youth and adults and is family fun for people of all ages. Be an Olympic champion in the Sack Race, Frisbee Throw, 3-Legged Race, Hula Hoop, or Water Balloon Toss.  Aside from fame and bragging rights, awards will be given to the winners of each event!

FIREWORKS
The Grand Finale of a fun-filled day can only be FIREWORKS! The fireworks will be held at Yowell Meadow Park; and are sponsored by the Town of Culpeper and the County of Culpeper!
For safety reasons, dogs will not be allowed in the park during all 4th of July events.
