Join us for a great day of celebration and patriotism in and around downtown Culpeper on Saturday, July 4, 2015. The Independence Day Celebration is a safe, fun, and affordable event that represents not only our heritage, but also a strong sense of community spirit. The day's events will include a 5K race, youth sporting events, patriotic speeches, a festive parade, CRI's 4th of July Car & Bike Show, food and craft vendors, moonbounces and for children, entertainment ... and of course FIREWORKS that will delight everyone!

Invite your friends and family members for this very popular event in Culpeper. Last year it was estimated that over 5,000 people attended our celebrations. Make sure you will be one of them again this year. Check out this year's Schedule of Events to see what the 2015 celebration will have in store!

(All events will be held rain or shine on Saturday, July 4th at Yowell Meadow Park.)  In the event of extreme storms with lighting, the date (for the fireworks only) will be Sunday, July 5 , 2015 at 9:15 pm.

FIREWORKS
A day of celebrations would not be complete fireworks - it is without a doubt the best fireworks display around the area!!!  This year the fireworks can be viewed from Colonel Jamesons Boulevard as well as other areas in Town.  The Town will provide trolleys that will run continuously from the E. Spencer Street Parking Lot and the W. Locust Street Parking Lot from 7:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. and will take riders and drop them off at the Old Rixeyville Road section of Colonel Jamesons Boulevard.  Come bring your chairs and blankets and watch a great fireworks display.  After fireworks are over, trolleys will again take riders back to either parking lot until 10:30 p.m.  Click here for the map.
